Why Jailbreak: Instinctiv Shuffle

One of the things I really love about the iPhone is that it is my cell phone, my GPS, my handheld gaming console, and my iPod all in one device. Although all of these aspects of the iPhone are great, the iPod app is my favorite and my most used app. But, despite its excellent organization, compact controls, and really cool cover flow, it still has room for improvement. That's where Instinctiv Shuffle comes in.
Instinctiv Shuffle is only available for jailbroken iPhones, and it is amazing. It is very similar to Apple's new 'Genius' technology, only it's better. Instinctiv Shuffle is easy to turn on and off, and it works through the iPhone's built-in iPod. Once turned on, Instinctiv Shuffle does everything that normal shuffle does on the iPod, but it also does so much more. Instinctiv Shuffle keeps track of which songs you skip and which songs you listen to. Using this information, Instinctiv Shuffle lines up the perfect set of songs for your current musical mood. As put by the app itself:
Transform your iPod into an intelligent companion that senses what songs you're in the mood for . . . Just play the songs you feel like listening to and skip the ones you don't. Instinctiv will do the rest no matter how eclectic your tastes are or where you are in the world.
You have every right to be skeptical of this app. You may be thinking: "How does it know what I want to listen to right now?". Well, Instinctiv Shuffle is incredibly smart. After listening to/skipping only 10 songs, Instinctiv Shuffle was able to give me a solid string of about 30 songs that I didn't want to skip. It is a great app that simply lines up perfect songs for you by analyzing what songs you listen to and which ones you pass over. As with all apps, it isn't always perfect. Sometimes it might not give you a ton of great songs in a row, but it does a much, much better job at it than 'Genius' or just plain ol' shuffle.
Instinctiv Shuffle is a very simple app, and it is a must-have if you're like me and have thousands upon thousands of songs that you hate to sort through on a daily basis. It simply makes shuffling on the iPod easier, faster, and better.
P.S. Get it by adding the ModMyi source (http://apt.modmyi.com/) to Cydia if you don't already have it, which you probably do. Then simply search for "Instinctiv Shuffle"--you'll never have to skip a hundred songs in a row to get the one that's just right for you right this second.
