Allow Adaptunes To Adjust Your Volume For You
June 17, 2009

you come to a stop, your volume will be low enough to allow you to communicate with those around you.
Adaptunes allows you to create different profiles for different activities since you won't always be traveling at the same speed. For example, one profile can be created for your car where the max volume is reached at speeds of 70 mph, while another profile can be created for your bicycle where the max volume is reached at a much slower speed.
Adaptunes features full iPod integration so you will have access to all of the same music, podcasts, and playlists just as you would when listening to your iPod. Since Adaptunes also controls the iPod directly, your music won't stop when you close the app.
The application currently uses the iPhone's GPS to track your speed, but the team intends to add accelerometer support to allow iPod touch users to get in on the action as well. That's not the only thing they intend to add, however. Adaptunes will be getting adaptive playlists, social networking hooks, audio cues, and stat tracking in the near future via in-app purchases.
Adaptunes is now available in the App Store for the introductory price of $.99. The application will have a regular price of $2.99. If you purchase the application today you will be able to upgrade to Adaptunes+ for only $2.99 more. Adaptunes+ will feature everything we described here, including the unreleased features. The regular price of Adaptunes+ will be $7.99, and it should be available sometime in July.
