The highly anticipated iPhone 3.0 firmware has made many drastic and notable changes, and the Stocks app is no exception. Several features have been added that are definitely worth mentioning.
The first change that is easily noticeable is there is now more detailed information for each stock.
Slide over the detailed info. to find up to date news about the stock you are following.
Before the 3.0 OS update all you were able to see was the chart of whatever stock you were following, however this is where the big change comes in. Turn your device and you will be able to see the chart in landscape mode, but it doesn't stop there.
You now have the option to see exactly how much a stock costs on any given day by simply placing your finger on the graph.
Take it even a step further by touching two points on the graph to see the difference between any two days.
Nice to see Apple take a basic app like Stocks and make it multiple times better.
Update: You can also swipe to change charts in landscape mode. Also, quickly swipe to scroll between different pages instead of bringing up the HUD on a single chart... Thanks iphoneguy!
