New Gameplay Video And Screenshots For Touch KO
June 23, 2009
Touch KO is a Fight Night inspired boxing game designed specifically for the iPhone and iPod touch. To get you all fired up for its impending launch, Chillingo has released a couple of new screenshots and a gameplay trailer for you to critique. But first, we will give you the lowdown on what the game will bring to the table.
Touch KO allows you to take part in a boxing career from start to finish. You begin in a run-down gym, working your way up the ranks to hopefully have a chance at participating in the title fight.
The game allows you to customize your virtual boxer in all types of ways, including facial and body features, clothing, and even tattoos. All of this customization wouldn't matter much if the game didn't look good, and Touch KO designers Adam and Matt Mechtley feel that this one will be able to stand toe-to-toe with almost any PSP boxing title because they believe that they have really pushed the iPhone to places it hasn't been before.
Here is the Touch KO feature list straight from Chillingo:
- Customizable boxer's appearance with dozens of equipment and tattoo options
- Dynamically adjustable difficulty
- Quick-Play mode lets you get in a quick bout on the go
- Compete for title fights in Career Mode, rising through the ranks from amateur to champion
- Intuitive, easy-to-use controls
- Accurate scoring uses real boxing rules
- Online leaderboards and achievements
- Crushing knock-out punches
- Random opponent generator creates hundreds of possible opponents
- Play your own music from your iTunes Library
Touch KO was originally slated for a June release, but we haven't heard much since. Chillingo also hasn't announced an official price for the game at this time.
