Remember The Milk - First To-Do List App To Feature Push

June 28, 2009

Apple is still slowly approving push-capable apps and app updates after the huge pre-iPhone OS 3.0 backlog, which has allowed Remember The Milk to race to the front of the pack to become the fist to-do list app to feature push notifications. rememberthemilk_screenRemember The Milk is a popular free online task managing service.  The service allows you to keep track of your appointments and to-do items, and it can even remind you of all of this via email, SMS, and IM.  The free Remember The Milk iPhone app allows you to do all of this while on-the-go, and thanks to recent 1.1 update you will now be able to receive reminders via push notifications. If getting all of this for free seems a little too good to be true, that's because it kind of is. Remember The Milk is free to use online, but to utilize the iPhone app you must have a Pro account.  A Remember The Milk Pro account is $25 per year, so this free app isn't exactly free. Even though Remember The Milk isn't actually free, it is the first push-capable task managing and to-do list app and that's worth something.  You can check out this app and many other push-capable apps in our Apps That Push You AppList. [Thanks to Dave for the tip!]
