Steve Jobs To Return To Apple This Month

June 5, 2009

It looks like everyone's favorite CEO Steve Jobs will be making his planned full-time return to Apple sometime this month, which has left everyone wondering if he will make an appearance at next week's WWDC. According to the Wall Street Journal, Steve Jobs' recovery is "coming along" just as planned.  In January, Jobs took a leave of absence to deal with a hormone imbalance that had caused him to lose a significant amount of weight.  Since then, we have heard very little about his health status which has left everyone wondering if he would return at all.  Apparently, there is no longer any doubt that he will return, it's just a matter of when. Many sources have indicated that it is still very unlikely that Steve Jobs will be on stage for the WWDC keynote on Monday, June 8th.  Apple made it very clear about a month ago that Phil Schiller along with a team of Apple executives would be delivering the keynote.  Jobs could, however, be on hand for the launch of the new iPhone if it were to only be unveiled at WWDC and not released until the end of the month. Another tidbit of information from the same Wall Street Journal article indicates that the new iPhone is ready to be unveiled this coming week:
Apple is ready enough with its latest iPhone to be in a position to unveil it next week, said a person who has seen the new model. The new phone will look similar to last year’s model but has more processing power and some new features like video editing, this person said.
This is pretty much on par with all of the rumors we have been hearing over the past couple of months. It's good to hear that Steve Jobs is feeling better because it just hasn't been the same without him.
