Take On An Evil Empire With Only A Blimp
June 12, 2009
Some games require you to pilot fast and furious fighter jets to save the world from destruction, but not Craneballs' new iPhone and iPod touch game Blimp - The Flying Adventures, but that doesn't mean it's just a cozy blimp ride in the sky.
In Blimp, you are a war veteran who has decided to live the rest of your life in peace on a trading planet, but those plans take a turn for the worst when an evil empire assaults your cozy planet and you must arm your blimp to the teeth in an attempt to repel the empire's forces.
The first thing you will notice about Blimp is the gorgeous graphics and artwork. The game features extremely crisp graphics and some flashy particle effects like fire, steam, explosions, and radiation. Blimp sports accelerometer-based controls to pilot your blimp and on-screen controls for boosting and dropping bombs. You must be ready for anything because there are tanks, gun nests, bunkers, and other blimps trying to deflate your unique ship.
Blimp features 20 action packed levels, 5 locations, and a global leader board integrated within Facebook.
Blimp - The Flying Adventures is available in the App Store for the introductory price of $.99. The game will eventually return to its normal price of $2.99.
