The WWDC extravaganza wwdcliveThe WWDC '09 finally took place after many, many months of anticipation and rumors.  Apple decided to unveil all kinds of goodies at the event and we were there to cover it.  We would like to thank everyone who participated in our live blog once again, you all rock!  If you missed any of the WWDC '09 keynote, Apple posted the entire thing on their website for easy viewing.  The conference is really all about the developers and they too were rewarded with actual awards and goodies.  All in all, WWDC '09 was a great success. iPhone 3G S hardware iphone3gsIt's all about the hardware.  The iPhone 3G S was finally shown at the WWDC.  The highly anticipated device sports all kinds of new features which Apple outlined in their guided tour, and we also were able to find a few charts comparing the new device to the old iPhone 3G.  Apple remains mum on the actual internal technical specs of the iPhone 3G S, but we were able to find a little more about it.  AT&T released an iPhone 3G S launch day video, which highlights everything you need to know to get your hands on one, but they still refused to give us our MMS and tethering on launch day. iPhone OS 3.0 ready to go iphoneos30_availableApple announced that iPhone OS 3.0 would finally be released to the general public on June 17th, but paid developers would be getting the final build even earlier.  iPhone OS 3.0 will be leaps and bounds better than OS 2.x because it now has a faster browser, voice control, and a nifty little feature called find my iPhone.  Apple also intends to release a new iDisk application for the iPhone to allow you to easily access files on your MobileMe account.  Thanks to iPhone OS 3.0's navigation features, TomTom will be releasing the first turn-by-turn navigation application. New and noteworthy apps doomresurrectionDeveloper and publisher ngmoco released their highly anticipated tower defense game Star Defense. Real Racing, CS.One, and Prey were all released over the weekend and we contained their releases all into one convenient post.  A new game called Blimp by Craneballs showed off just how great indie games still can be.  The feature rich Twittelator Pro got even more awesome features including the ability to tweet audio clips.  Id Software's John Carmack let us know that he wasn't only working on Doom Classic this whole time, he was actually working on another Doom title as well.
