AppAwards Winner Of Best Game For Innovative Game Controls: Giveaway

July 21, 2009

Gaming on the iPhone and iPod touch is all about the controls.  If a game doesn't control well, it is just not very fun to play.  That's why many developers have taken the safe route and gone with simple on-screen d-pads and joysticks.  That's fine for some games, but we wanted to reward developers for thinking outside of the box in our Best Game for Innovative Game Controls category. The nominees for Best Game for Innovative Game Controls were: Illusion Labs' Touchgrind ended up winning this award and apparently your hearts as well. Touchgrind definitely set the bar high with its unique controls.  What we want to know is, does the control method take away or add to the overall gameplay?  Do you feel it's more of a gimmick, like something that you just show your friends, or do the controls make the game that much more fun? By commenting, you will be entered for a chance to win a download code for Illusion Labs' Touchgrind.  The winner will be chosen randomly at the end of the day today (end of the day means 11:59 PM ET). Download codes are only redeemable through US iTunes accounts. Please remember to include a valid email address so we can contact the winner.
