Apple Backs Down, Allows Promo Codes For 17+ Apps Again

Ten days ago we told you that Apple had stopped allowing promo codes for apps that were rated 17+. There was a moderate uproar of this decision because there are so many 17+ apps in the App Store and Apple's rating system is still a bit questionable (one Twitter client may be rated 17+ while another may not be). That apparently is no longer the case as it appears that Apple has relented and is once again allowing for developers to distribute promo codes for apps rated 17+ again, according to this post over on TUAW. Apparently, a number of developers contacted them to report the change.
This is definitely good news. Let's hope that Apple doesn't change their mind again.
