The three guys from CollegeKidApp.com aren't just your regular, everyday college students.  They are a hardworking team of developers who have created and launched their very first iPhone app, Battery Go!, and it is already a surprising success. I did an interview with CollegeKidApp.com's Cameron Banga a while back about what the team wanted to accomplish with their unique summer business venture.  He explained that they simply wanted to try their hand at developing an app for Apple's popular platform, win or lose.  At that time he wouldn't disclose what it was they were working on, but apparently it was something good. Battery Go! is an extremely simple and straightforward app.  It shows your iPhone's current power level, as well as what you can do with that amount of charge.  It also allows you to change the power level so you can see what you can do with a specified amount of charge.  Simply drag the slider located at the top of the screen to your desired level and the four large icons (web, phone, music, video) below will display how much time you have left for each activity.  The app also offers some helpful battery saving tips. The team has obviously done something right as Battery Go! is already in the top 100 paid applications list and still climbing. Battery Go! is now available in the App Store for only $.99. If you are interested in iPhone and iPod touch app development, you can follow the team's blog at CollegeKidApp.com.  They do a fantastic job documenting each and every step of the development process for those who want to learn or simply want to be entertained. Congratulations to the entire team at CollegeKidApp.com on your very first successful iPhone app.  Hopefully it is only the beginning!
