Fantastic Contraption And ShapeShape On Sale To Celebrate App Store's Birthday
July 10, 2009
Apparently some developers are already in a celebratory mood. The App Store's first birthday is tomorrow, and to celebrate this milestone inXile Entertainment has placed both ShapeShape and Fantastic Contraption on sale for a limited time.
Fantastic Contraption is one of the most entertaining physics-based puzzle games to hit the App Store. Your objective is to build a contraption that is able to move by itself all the way to a goal using a wide variety of parts. There is no right or wrong way to build your contraption, just as long as it gets to the goal. The game also features the ability to create your own levels and upload them to a server to share with others. Fantastic Contraption is normally priced at $4.99, but for a limited time it is available for only $2.99.
ShapeShape is another unique little game by inXile Entertainment. The idea of the game is to help the main character, ShapeShape, find his family by guiding him through 50 different levels. You must navigate various obstacles, like gravity fields, moving platforms, spikes, and more to achieve this goal. Just like Fantastic Contraption, ShapeShape allows you to create your own levels, but you aren't able to share them online quite yet. The team has a tons of great features planned, including Bluetooth multiplayer racing, Bluetooth level sharing, and leader boards, so this should definitely turn out to be a worthy investment. ShapeShape is normally priced at $2.99, but it is now on sale for a limited time for only $.99.
