For Once Microsoft Beats Apple At Advertising

As Apple airs a new set of ads to highlight the features of iPhone 3GS, Microsoft has one heck of a viral campaign to promote Internet Explorer 8. Yeah, it's a stretch to consider this iPhone related but we were too tickled by this not to share it. Warning: it's kind of gross. If you go check out the Web site advertised in the video you find out that for every download of Internet Explorer 8 they'll donate 8 meals to Feeding America, a non-profit focused on getting food to Americans in need. To recap the message: if you don't download Internet Explorer 8 for its porn-blocking features you're literally taking food out of people's mouths. Sounds like Microsoft to me.
