Wouldn't it be great if you could purchase every single iPhone or iPod touch game that you have ever wanted?  Well, you can't, or at least most of us can't, so that's why you have to play the lite versions of games before you buy the full version.  This allows you to get an idea of what a game is all about before you purchase it, effectively saving you money and the embarrassment of having purchased a game that is just awful.  Below are a few games that have recently received the lite treatment. carjackstreets_screenCar Jack Streets is a GTA-like, top-down, open world game that was designed by some of the creators of the original Grand Theft Auto.  In Car Jack Streets you play as Randal Meyer, a small time player in a big city who is in debt to the mob.  The idea is to stay alive by paying off your debt using whatever means necessary.  The full version of the game has been a critical success, and now you can try it out for free.  Also, in celebration of Car Jack Streets Lite being released, the full version is now on sale for $1.99. iSoccer Backstreet takes you off the fields and into the streets.  The game doesn't feature the regular 11 on 11 soccer gameplay, but it does allow you to compete in all kinds of freestyle action. iSoccer Backstreet Lite features two complete levels filled with fast paced dribbling, body-balancing, and trick action, so you can get a solid feel for the game.  The full version features nine levels and a whole lot more for $1.99. facefighter_screenIn FaceFighter, if it has a face, you can fight it.  The game allows you to import a picture of anyone or anything, including your friend, a celebrity, your pet, or anything else you can imagine.  Then, you can beat the snot out of it using a variety of moves and weapons and watch as the face gets bruised and battered.  FaceFighter was designed by the creator of the Ready-2-Rumble boxing franchise, which simply means that it is at least worth a try.  So go pick up the lite version and see what the fuss is all about.  The full version of FaceFighter is available for $.99.
