Pirates Invade Harbor Master In v1.1
July 16, 2009
Imangi Studios' Harbor Master is quickly climbing up the App Store's paid applications list thanks to its addicting casual gameplay, and with the v1.1 update that adds a brand new level to the game, it looks like the skies the limit. Or should I say the sea is the limit?
Harbor Master employs the same general formula as Flight Control, but there are quite a few gameplay twists that set it apart. In Harbor Master, you are required to dock everything from small boats to large ships in an attempt to unload as much cargo as you can without having the vessels collide. Not only must you dock the ships, but you must also guide them safely back out to sea. With the new level Cannon Beach, this task just got way more difficult.
Cannon Beach offers brand new challenges with its unique layout, but the real treat is the ability to shoot at and sink pirate ships. In the center of the level there is a large cannon. When a pirate ship enters your harbor you must fire your cannon by touching and dragging from your cannon to the pirate ship. Once you release your finger the cannon fires. You must hit the pirate ship with two shots before it will sink. If a pirate ship reaches one of your vessels, it will begin stealing the cargo and then sink the ship. If the pirates succeed at sinking your ship, the game is over.
Imangi Studios intends to add a new level to Harbor Master every two weeks, so if you have a really great idea for a new level, send them an email.

Harbor Master is still available at its sale price of $.99.
