Zombies & Me - EA's New Casual Game Now Available For $.99
July 13, 2009
EA has decided to jump head-first into the iPhone casual game arena, a place where many indie developers have seen the bulk of their success, with their new game Zombies & Me.
Zombies & Me places you right in the thick of a massive zombie invasion. The zombie horde is after your poor old granny, and you must defend her at all costs. Defending granny isn't going to be easy, however, since you are completely unarmed. Luckily the military is constantly dropping bombs that you can lead those mindless zombies into.
The idea of the game is to use yourself as bait. You can gain bonus points for blowing up multiple zombies at once, but you don't want to get too close, as the zombies will grab on to you and keep you from moving out of harm's way. You can tap the screen ferociously to break the zombies' hold. The game becomes progressively more difficult as more and more zombies enter the mix.
Zombies & Me is EA's first iPhone game to launch at $.99. They currently have another $.99 title, American Idol: The Game, but it originally launched at the price of $4.99. EA's entrance into this market has raised some concern among indie developers, but hopefully their is enough room for everyone.
Zombies & Me is now available in the App Store for $.99.
