Browse Twitter Photos On Your iPhone Through A 'Peephole'

August 12, 2009

The Twitter-verse has an ever-expanding library of photos thanks to photo sharing services like Twitpic, yfrog, and Twitgoo.  Viewing these photos tweet by tweet can be a daunting task, and you just may miss out on that embarrassing photo of your friend or a leaked image of the rumored "iProd" that has just become a trending topic.  But don't worry, IFWORLD has your Twitter image viewing covered with their new iPhone and iPod touch app Peephole.
"We came up with the idea during the Iranian elections," said Scott Mills, Peephole developer and IFWORLD co-founder. "There were so many tweets coming out of Iran with newsworthy images that people wanted to see. Unfortunately, viewing images on your iPhone at that time took 2-3 clicks per tweet."
Peephole puts Twitter images on the center stage.  The app allows you to login to your existing Twitter account to view almost any photo that has been posted on Twitter.  You can view photos from the public timeline, trending topics, nearby users, favorites, friends, and you can search for something specific.  You can also do more than just view these photos.  Peephole allows you to save them to your camera roll, email them to a friend, reply to or retweet the image, and even follow the person who posted the photo.  Peephole is able to load up to 100 thumbnails at a time with ease  from the photo sharing services Twitpic, yfrog, and Twitgoo. Peephole is a simple app that was created to fulfill a single need, but it does the job just as described. Peephole is available in the App Store for $1.99.
