Mover+: Share Photos, Text, Bookmarks and Contacts From One iPhone To Another

An awesome app just got a whole lot cooler. The free version of Mover, which was recently featured in the Apple commercial "Share," now has a paid big brother in the form of Mover+. Mover allows users to slide a contact or photo straight from one iPhone to another if both are on the same wifi network. Now, with Mover+, users with the iPhone 3G, 3GS or 2nd generation iPod Touch can use Peer-To-Peer Bluetooth connectivity made possible in iPhone OS 3.0 to share almost anything anywhere. Users can slide photos, text, bookmarks and contacts straight from one iPhone to another no matter where you are. According to Emanuele Vulcano, the developer from Infinite-Labs who created Mover, there should be nothing standing in the way technically from making it possible to share videos shot on the iPhone 3GS the exact same way. "Video is a planned feature for the first upgrade past 2.0," Vulcano said. The drawback for any kind of a system like this is that it must be installed on both iPhones for it to work. That's why I'm on a personal mission to get Mover or Mover+ installed on as many iPhones as possible. We should've been able to share information this easily years ago and now we finally can. For the developers out there, I should also note that the code for Mover is open-source so you can have a field day figuring out how it all works. So those of you with a couple bucks to spend head on over to the App Store and grab Mover+ for $1.99. The rest of you cheapskates (I mean that with the upmost respect) can wait until fall for the free version of Mover to get the Mover+ upgrades. That means bookmark/copied text sharing and bluetooth support. You can always pick Mover up now and wait for the upgrade to hit in iTunes. The free version will be ad-supported, Vulcano told me. Here's a video demo of how Mover works:
