Popular iPhone And iPod Touch Games On Sale This Weekend
August 28, 2009
This weekend should be great for iPhone and iPod touch gaming. All but one of the titles listed below are on sale for $.99, which means you could technically purchase every single one of them for under $10! More practically, you could also just purchase one and give yourself a $.99 gaming treat.
Textropolis ($1.99 -> $.99): One of Nimblebit's three titles that are on sale this weekend. The game features a relaxed word-creating experience thanks to the lack of a timer, but that doesn't mean it isn't challenging. It contains 30 different city names to create words from, along with definitions for each and every word.
Scoops ($1.99 -> $.99): The stacking game that started it all. Scoops is probably the most recognizable Nimblebit title thanks to its solid accelerometer controls, easy pick-up-and-play gameplay, and global leader boards.
Sky Burger ($1.99 -> $.99): It's like Scoops, just with hamburgers and different goals. Stack burger ingredients as high as you can while filling orders. The game features achievements, online stats and leader boards, and Twitter integration.
Castle of Magic ($2.99 -> $.99): This highly polished platformer will bring you back to the days of old school gaming. It features five different 3D environments, ability to transform into six different characters, six bosses, and iPhone and iPod touch specific controls.
Jewel Quest Deluxe ($2.99 -> $.99): Brings match-3 gameplay to a whole different level with 36 different levels, four gameplay modes, Facebook Connect, and even a Bluetooth multiplayer option so you can battle your friends.
Monster Pinball ($3.99 -> $1.99): It's not a port and it's not a re-creation, it's an entirely new pinball experience. Monster Pinball features six interconnected tables so the action never stops. It also features stunning graphics at 60fps, realistic physics, local and online leader boards, and accelerometer-based controls.
Action Bowling ($2.99 -> $.99): The ultimate bowling experience on your iPhone or iPod touch. The game features 12 locations, 12 custom bowling bowls, ability to create your own bowling ball, three different control methods, and complete stat tracking.
Prey Invasion ($2.99 -> $.99): Based off of the hit FPS console game by the same name, Prey Invasion for the iPhone features two different methods of control, a unique story, and tons of different enemies and weapons.
If you find out that a sale has ended or notice any other abnormal behavior, feel free to leave a comment below so I can update the post to notify others. Have an enjoyable weekend!
