Overview
The ship is sinking...sinking fast! Everyone is panicked as the lifeboats are cast into the ocean. Most of the passengers can't swim and the waters are infested with sharks...ready to play? Lifeboat is a very intense and fun game that has you constantly working against the clock as you attempt to save the passengers from their sinking ship. Think you have what it takes?
Features
The game doesn't include many features in it. As it stands, there are the accelerometer controls which are used to steer the passengers into the life rafts. Other than that the game does include a "shop" where you can purchase upgrades like "swimming lessons" and "water pumps" to help keep the gameplay going longer as you progress through the game.
There is a v1.1 update coming soon that is going to add the ability to stun the sharks and crocodiles, improve the control scheme, and give you the opportunity to post your scores on Facebook.
The Breakdown
The Good:
This game is the perfect pick-up-and-play type of game. It doesn't matter where you pick up from or where you left off. Just a really simple game to waste a few minutes of your day with.
The Bad:
Overall, I was very disappointed in this game. Yes, it is fun and does have the right price tag on it. However, that really isn't enough and I found the gameplay boring and very stale. The controls don't really work that well and you
will kill more passengers than you will save. Which is also annoying and frustrating.
There's also not a lot to do. I was expecting more from this and it is really just tilt and tap and hope you get the passengers in the boats. The upgrades are a nice attempt to make more out of the gameplay, but in the end it gets really old, really fast.
The Verdict
For only costing a dollar, this game is worth the price. It has some fun elements included in it and you will have fun playing the game. The only problem is how long you will play before getting bored and not coming back.
