Snood Lands In App Store, Relies Heavily On Facebook

The Snoods have landed in the App Store and apparently they really like Facebook.  Mid-week last week we were informed that a new version of Snood would be coming to the iPhone and iPod touch, but we really didn't expect it so soon as EA claimed it would be launching "later this month."  Apparently that means mid-month, but hey, we're not complaining. Snood is basically a puzzle game where you will be launching a randomly-selected Snood into a playing field.  The idea is to launch the Snood at other Snoods of the same color to match at least three of the same kind.  If your shot is true, all connecting Snoods of that color will disappear and any Snoods left unattached will also drop down and disappear. snood_screen2The iPhone version of Snood features the classic gameplay from the original Mac OS hit title along with the original graphics, but it also contains an enhanced version that features updated graphics and new gameplay modes.  The single player mode includes Story, Classic, Time Attack, and Puzzle modes across varying difficulties.  Multiplayer mode allows you to play head-to-head against a friend, or you can invite them to play later in Challenge Mode.  The only problem here is that Snood relies heavily on Facebook. If you want to play online, share your high scores, and gain achievements, you need a Facebook account.  Now, this isn't the biggest problem in the world considering many people are currently using Facebook, but sometimes people just don't want to spam their Facebook friends with irrelevant high scores and achievements, so it would be nice if there was a secondary option. Snood is now available in the App Store for $3.99. Embedded below is a preview trailer for Snood.
