Yahoo! Messenger Update Successfully Makes It Through The Approval Process
August 26, 2009
Some of you may recall that last week, Yahoo! Messenger product manager Sarah Bacon had a few choice words for Apple regarding their app approval process only to find out that all of the delays were caused by Yahoo!, not Apple. Bacon had to issue a retraction, stating that a lack of communication caused the confusion and that the update would be available shortly. That somewhat controversial Yahoo! Messenger update has now officially made it through the approval process with flying colors.
The Yahoo! Messenger v1.2.2 update is all about fixing features, not adding them. The update supposedly fixed all of the login issues many users had complained about, along with app crash fixes, Buzz improvements, performance improvements, Push Notification sound changes, and idle status removal, so now users will appear as available when signed in to the app but not actually in the app.
Yahoo! Messenger is available for the iPhone and iPod touch for free.
