It almost seems as if the iPhone was built to be a castle defense gaming machine.  People just seem to gobble up any and every castle defense game that hits the App Store, and Origin8 has decided to appease the masses by releasing yet another one, only this one has a bit of a twist. monsterkill_screen1MonsterKill is a gesture-based spell casting castle defense game.  The idea of the game is to stop the onslaught of enemies, which includes zombies, vampires, werewolves, and frankensteins, from reaching your wall.  Each monster acts differently, so you must use the proper spells to combat them.  The spells included in the game are cut, lightning, fireball, and ice block.  You can cast spells by drawing their corresponding image on the screen with your finger.  For example, to cut, simply swipe across the screen.  To unleash a lightning bolt, draw a lightning bolt.  It's that simple.  Timing the spells can be difficult at first, but you will eventually get the hang of it as the game progresses. The game also features highly polished visuals, multiple game modes, the ability to upgrade spells and repair your wall, online high scores and achievements via OpenFeint, and unique music and sounds. If you are into castle defense games, MonsterKill is absolutely worth a look.  It's currently available for $.99, but that is merely the launch price.  MonsterKill will eventually be $1.99. Embedded below is a gameplay trailer for MonsterKill.
