EA Reveals More Details For Three Of Their Upcoming Titles
October 14, 2009
EA has been relatively quiet since the release of FIFA 10 and most recently Mystery Mania, but they have decided to break that short silence by announcing details for three of their upcoming iPhone and iPod touch titles.
NBA Live
The NBA's regular season is just around the corner, which means it's time for some NBA Live on your iPhone or iPod touch. EA has revealed a few details regarding the title, and has included three new screenshots. The game will feature real NBA rosters, all 30 teams, and three different modes, including an 82-game Season Mode, Exhibition Mode, and Playoff Mode. It will also sport touch-screen and accelerometer controls, 15 music tracks from artists like Snoop Dogg and Xzibit, and audio commentary from Marv Albert.
Need for Speed Shift
Although EA didn't release any brand new screenshots, they did reveal some new details about their upcoming racing title. Need for Speed Shift will feature 28 street and pro racing events in locations such as Chicago, London, and Tokyo. It will contain 20 supremely fast and powerful licensed cars with the ability to upgrade and customize them. You will also be able to race head-to-head against your friends via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. To keep you coming back for more, EA has added points and achievements that must be earned by honing your skills.
Surviving High School
I must admit, I have never actually heard of this title before today, but apparently Surviving High School is a best-selling mobile game. The idea of the game is to experience high school the way you want to. You can become a jock or a nerd, a popular kid or an outside, and your decisions affect your story. The game will play out like a "good TV show," which apparently means it is episodic in nature. Each week you will be able to "tune in" for new episodes at no additional cost. Gameplay consists of multiple choice questions, reaction-based mini games, and alternate endings.
