Go Real Deer Hunting On Your iPhone Or iPod Touch

Sunstorm Interactive founded the hunting game genre in 1997 with their hit Deer Hunter series, which was originally only available for Windows but eventually found its way to other platforms.  The company has decided to take another stab at developing hunting games, but this time they chose the iPhone and iPod touch as their platform. Real Deer Hunting is Sunstorm Interactive's first iPhone and iPod touch game, but you couldn't tell from looking at it.  Their experience in this genre has obviously paid off, as they have created one solid looking and realistic deer hunting experience.

Real Deer Hunting features 16 different hunting stands located in Texas or Indiana.  The developers have done their best job re-creating the actual hunting experience by including realistic deer behavior, rain and snow effects, and realistic deer sounds and grunt calls.  To help track down your prey, you are equipped with binoculars and a range finder, and once you have spotted a deer you can take it down with a variety of weapons, including a shotgun, rifle with a scope, and a compound bow.  The game tracks your progress and awards you with trophies that can be sent to your friends via email to prove that you truly are the most skilled hunter. If you are not really interested in freezing your butt off in a real deer stand but want to experience the thrill of it, Real Deer Hunting is worth a look, especially at the introductory price of $.99.
