Today some new games hit the App Store: an "augmented reality shoot-`em-up," a politically-themed castle defense, a "gravity defying platformer," and a "spooky themed" casino slot machine.
Arcade Reality, by Toyspring, uses the iPhone camera to create an augmented reality backdrop to battle little cartoon enemies. Players will see whatever their 3GS camera sees, plus the colorful monsters that fly towards them. This game is three bucks and is only for the iPhone 3GS.
Bailout Wars, from Gameloft, is a castle defense game with a somewhat dated political theme. In this well drawn, good looking game; gamers defend the White House (castle), against thieving bankers, stock brokers, high risk investors in helicopters, and greedy CEO's.
Bailout Wars is a dollar and is already getting some really good reviews.
Soosiz, by Touch Foo, is a 2D platformer that allows players to flip gravity while jumping, leaping to platforms directly above. The introductory price is two dollars and this game is also getting great reviews.
Creepy Slots, from Mobile Amusement, is a game I can't imagine paying a dollar for. To be fair; this game wasn't released today, it was released two days ago, but I don't think it has been bought yet.
Creepy Slots is a Halloween-themed slot machine game. As if slot machines weren't boring enough, let's take away the chance to at least win money and replace it with some ghosts and spider webs and pumpkins.
