Quick Tip: If You Are Frustrated With Your iPhone, Don't Flash A 9mm In An Apple Store

October 2, 2009

Sometimes our iPhones do some really wacky things that push us to our very limits, but by no means should you tell an Apple Store employee that you are "So mad, I could pop a 9mm at it" before revealing that you actually do indeed have a concealed weapon like one man from Cincinnati did. According to WCPO 9 news in Cincinnati, Donald Goodrich was upset that his iPhone wasn't working properly, so he brought it to an Apple Store like any sane human being would do.  He then told the Apple Store employee that he was "So mad, I could pop a 9mm at it."  The employee told Goodrich that there wasn't any need for that, which obviously tested his emotions because he allegedly told the employee "I'll do it right now. Look!" and then showed the handgun to the employee. Instead of panicking, the employee told Goodrich that she would get his iPhone fixed and politely walked him over to a technician in the store.  She then told her manager about the situation, who called the police. Goodrich is being charged with "aggravated menacing, causing fear of harm to an Apple Store employee." He did have a concealed weapon permit, but he still faces charges for not telling the deputy on the scene that he had a handgun. You have to give props to the lady for keeping a cool head, it's probably not a situation you expect to be put in when working at an Apple Store.
