Review: Castle Warriors

October 4, 2009

Overview An extremely simple and easy to pick up "Real Time Strategy" game for the novice or experienced Tower Defense gamer. The game is all about conquering and capturing towers that are placed throughout the game. Can you capture them all while fending off the enemy? In the never ending sea of Tower Defense games how does this title stack up against the rest? Features The games comes with over twelve different battle fields for you to play on like the Borderlands or the Waterseep, just to name a few. There are also different difficulty settings depending on your preferred level of gameplay. You can also upgrade your castles during the battle with new capabilities and new defenses showing up too. Breakdown The Good: The most appealing element in this game has to be how easily you can just pick up your device and start playing the game. You don't have to worry about building an army or anything too complicated like that. Just move your armies from one tower to another and that's about it. It's very simple, yet incredibly fun and entertaining. The Bad: You know, there really isn't much here to complain about . You either like this one or you don't. The only issue I found here was in the controls. You tap and drag to move an army, but the screen doesn't move that fast when you are trying to go somewhere off screen. So if an enemy is trying to get a castle that you want, they will probably get there first as the screen tends to move a little bit slowly. The Verdict If you are looking for a very simple Tower Defense game where you can just start playing right away and not have to worry about weapons or army classes or anything too complicated like that, then this is the game for you. If not, then you might find this one a little too simplistic. [gallery link="file" columns="4"]
