Tim Cook On The Android
October 20, 2009
When asked earlier today about iPhone's competition like the Android; Tim Cook, Apple's Chief Operating Officer, answered :
We think people are trying to catch up with the first iPhone released two years agoIn his opinion the 85'000+ apps in the App Store also clearly set the difference between Apple and its competition. I got to talk recently to Dr. Tomihisa Kamada, the founder and CEO of ACCESS (the company that provides software for the PSP, the Kindle or for cellphones like Nokia or Sony-Ericsson). When I asked him about the iPhone in Japan (he is actually an Apple fan) he told me that it's a great device but unfortunately it's 2 years behind the market. Simply because it's lacking functionalities like a 5MP camera or the ability to pay by RFID, industry standards in Japan. Funny right ? The iPhone might have a serious advance over the competition but come on Apple, don't rest on your laurels.
