Wolfenstein 3D Classic Goes Platinum

The game once known as Wolfenstein 3D Classic is now known asWolfenstein 3D Classic Platinum thanks to a recent update that has added a bunch of new content. Wolfenstein 3D Classic contained all six episodes with 60 levels from the original MS-DOS version of the game before the most recent update, but now that it has gone platinum, the amount of levels and replayability has increased substantially. Wolfenstein 3D Classic Platinum's new features and content include:

• Spear of Destiny levels – 21 total new maps
• 5 new Bosses
• New enemy – Ghosts
• Download custom made maps
• Double tap to Zoom in-game map
• id Software trivia section
• Scrolling map selection menus

Wolfenstein 3D Classic Platinum not only features 21 new maps, but it also features the ability to download custom made maps.  Instead of using in-app purchases, you will be able to download new maps via Mobile Safari.  Just head to any website that offers these custom maps, click the .map file link and Wolfenstein 3D Classic Platinum will automatically launch and install the new maps. id Software has also provided some detailed instructions on how to download and install, upload, and create your own maps. The update is, of course, free to all current Wolfenstein 3D Classic owners.  If you don't own the game, you can pick it up in the App Store right now for $1.99.
