Bejeweled 2 Gets Blitzed

PopCap has issued an update to Bejeweled 2 for the iPhone and iPod touch that adds the popular Facebook game, Bejeweled Blitz, to the mix.  PopCap originally indicated that it would take about a week or so for Apple to approve the update, but apparently they also couldn't wait to get their hands on it. The free update adds another button to the main screen that allows you to access the one minute thrill ride that is Bejeweled Blitz.  You will have to do the usual Facebook Connect login before you get a chance to play, which allows the game to seamlessly update your high scores on Facebook so you can compare with friends. Bejeweled Blitz on the iPhone and iPod touch is exactly like its Facebook counterpart.  It features the same fast-paced gameplay, soundtrack, and power-ups, so if you have already conquered the Facebook version, the iPhone version should be cake.  The only real downside is that your work productivity will decrease immensely. If you already own Bejeweled 2, the update is now available in the App Store for free.  If you don't already own Bejeweled 2, what are you waiting for?!  The update will be included in the $2.99 package, so stop reading this and go download it now.
