There Shall Be No Edge On The App Store

It seems like developers are slowly getting more rebellious lately. A company named Edge Games would be claiming trademark for using the term "edge" in games and would have managed to take out a couple apps of the App Store on this basis. This weekend a couple of developers are changing their game name's in sign of protest.

Apparently Tim Langdell, the founder of Edge Games, has been doing this for a while now, he actually went as far as fighting EA over their game Mirror's Edge. He's also been contacting Apple over App Store games violating "his trademark" and had them pulled out, Mobigame's EDGE was one of his victims.

Well, this weekend a couple of developers are protesting by all sorts of montages or changes on their websites logo. You can also play "Canabedge" on Canabalt's website.

How can you obtain such a trademark?
