Apple Uses Witty Post-Xmas Humor To Push iPhones & Co.
I get pretty much every Apple newsletter. You might think it's part of my job but I actually just forgot to uncheck this box one time, well they don't really bother me much anyway.
For once, however, it seems like it was worth not unsubscribing. The one Apple sent out today, in the French area at least, is quite funny and interesting. Apparently, they are trying to catch-up all those missed sales from the holidays.
First of all, here is its title, (translated) :
It wasn't under the tree? Find it on the Apple Store.
That's a good line and it actually doesn't stop there. Once you open the email (instead of deleting it right away this time) you'll discover :
Exactly what you wanted, without having to say thank you.
Get yourself the gift of your dreams, on the Apple's Store.
After that, it's pretty much the same as always. You get the traditional ad for the iPhone and its accessories, a couple Macs and iPods and even the picture of a female Apple specialist in an oversized t-shirt not wearing any make-up.
I believe it's a great idea to play on people's disappointment and I'm sure that buying yourself some of those goodies would be a great cure for post-christmas holiday depression. I just got myself the iPhone-friendly Bose headset, it's life-changing.
I wonder if this campaign is international, did you get anything similar?
***Update, yeah it's international :
