Appvent Calendar ‘09 Free Game #17: Cabby

Today’s Appvent Calendar ‘09 free game is Cabby.  Cabby is sort of a 3D remake of an old Commodore 64 side-scroller titled Space Taxi.  In Cabby, you must pick up patrons who signal you down and deliver them to their platform of choice by flying your taxi using on-screen direction buttons and thrusters; just don't run into any rough terrain or you will lose a life. The game features 10 playable taxis with different handling styles, two gameplay modes, 15 levels with different themes, and three different atmospheres that affect the way your taxi handles. Cabby is normally available for $.99, but today only it is available for free. Today Appvent Calendar ‘09 features another secondary free game, and it's Holiday Smash.  Holiday Smash is a holiday-themed brick-breaking game that features on-screen controls, 10 levels, three levels of difficulty, and OpenFeint integration. Holiday Smash is normally available in the App Store for $.99, but today only it is available for free.
