Google Wave With Push Notifications Hits The App Store Thanks To Waveboard 2.0 + Win 5 Google Wave Invites
December 11, 2009
Waveboard 2.0 has just hit the App Store and lets you finally enjoy the innovations of Google Wave on your iPhone with the comfort of Push Notifications.
We've actually been awaiting the first Google Wave's client second edition for quite a while now. Indeed, after being announced back in November, the app went through quite some trouble to get approved. Fortunately the wait is now over.
The client itself got a lot of improvements and you can now get a glimpse at your inbox in no time thanks to the Quick Inbox feature. I'm looking forward to see this function evolve as this is definitely the way to go with Google Wave.
As to Push Notifications it's not quite perfect yet as you need to add a robot to the Wave you want to be notified about and make some settings. Nevertheless it works great and you'll finally know when you've been waved, which is in my opinion Google Wave's biggest issue at the moment.
Finally there is also a little treat in this for you devoted readers.
I got some more Google Wave invites (you need one to use the app) so if you’re interested just leave a comment below and don’t forget to leave a valid e-mail address so I can contact you.
The contest ends tomorrow at noon (EST).
