PopCap makes some of the greatest PC games of all time. They've already brought Bejewled 2, Bookworm, and Peggle to the iPhone. Chuzzle is the newest addition to their iPhone collection, and was just released in the App Store for $4.99.
In Chuzzle it's another take on the match 3 genre by PopCap. Their original match 3 Bejeweled requires flipping of adjacent jewels to make matches of three in either columns or rows. In Chuzzle you drag entire rows or columns to match three chuzzles in any way as long as they're touching.
Chuzzle for the iPhone seems to be an exact port of the PC game with the same four gameplay modes: classic, speed, zen, and brain-teaser mode. Zen mode doesn't have time constraints, and isn't score based. Brain teaser mode gives you a set of chuzzle, and you have to drag them around to match the chuzzle arrangement given. Chuzzle are cute little furballs with eyes, and you drag the entire row or column to pop as many as you can.
Special chuzzle include, giant, rainbow, super, and locked to change the gameplay. Special trophies/achievements are included for certain numbers of special chuzzles popped, or levels reached, or brain teasers completed. You can try the game as a web version, or download a free trial.
PopCap has had great success on the iPhone with Bejeweled 2 in the top 25 paid apps nearly the entire existence of the App Store. Bookworm and Peggle have spent time as the #1 apps as well when they were relased, and on sale. Now it's Chuzzle, and we shall see how it preforms in our review coming soon.
