PopCap's End Of The Decade Sale Includes Peggle, Chuzzle, And Bookworm
December 24, 2009
PopCap wants to help you usher in an entirely new decade by having a sale on three of their popular games, so if your new year's resolution was going to be to play more casual games on your iPhone or iPod touch, you are certainly in luck.
Peggle ($4.99 -> $1.99): One of the most addicting casual games to ever hit the App Store. Peggle consists of shooting a ball from a launcher at the top of the screen in an attempt to hit as many pegs as possible on the way down. You are only given a certain number of balls to clear the board of all of the orange pegs, and if you fail to do so, the game is over. Peggle features 55 levels, 40 master challenges, an iPhone-optimized control mechanism, and pass and play multiplayer.

Chuzzle ($4.99 -> $1.99): PopCap's newest App Store entry is probably its most adorable. Chuzzle is a unique take on the match-3 game because instead of just swapping pieces or rotating them, you actually drag entire columns or rows in order to get three like-colored Chuzzles to touch. Chuzzle features four game modes, special pieces, trophies, and local leader boards.

Bookworm ($2.99 -> $1.99): The hit word-puzzle game for the PC just shrunk down to fit on the iPhone and iPod touch. In Bookworm you must link letter tiles located left, right, up, and down from each other in order to build words. The longer the word, the larger the bonus. You must watch out for burning letters, however, because they can spell disaster. Not literally of course. Bookworm features two game modes, shake-to-scramble, bonus books, and local leader boards.
As with all PopCap games, we have an in-depth review available for Bookworm.
All three games will be on sale through January 3rd, 2010.
