TextNow Gets An Update & Lets You Win 5 Promocodes Today On AppAdvice

TextNow, the excellent texting application that lets you save on your texting plan or even get rid of it, just got an update.

If you don't know about TextNow, it's meant to replace your native text app. You can use it to text American cell phones for free and it will push you the replies instantly thanks to Push Notifications.

The update is nothing major really, on top of some UI improvements and the classical bug fixes, Enflick mainly worked on making the messages come in faster. There are also some new handy features, here is the changelog:

-Parses URLs in speech bubbles so you can just tap the URL to visit -Ability to add contact information to your Address Book directly from the app -Ability to copy individual texts from the speech bubble -Import profile pics of friends from Facebook -Time stamps for the speech bubbles -Option to forward a copy of your texts to an email address -Shortcut to call contact from the app
