TextNow Lets You Text From Google Voice With Push Notifications + We Have 10 Promo Codes For You!
I just came across quite a neat trick allowed by the great TextNow.
Thanks to the fact that it provides you with an email address, not only you can link it to your Google Voice account and text directly from the app, but you'll actually have the replies pushed back to you.
It's more of a hack than a real feature but it's extremely useful. I text from Google Voice all day through mail.app and I must say it's a true relief to discover this.
You're going to need a Google Voice account, TextNow and a @textnow.me adress. Then just set up Google Voice to forward you your texts on email and you're pretty much set. Derek from Enflick posted a step by step tutorial if you need more details.
