So today Ustream announced there live video streaming app and we published a news article about it, but when I was playing around with the app today, I saw that ustream records what is on your phones screen not just what the camera is seeing. i.e. if you receive a text or set your phone to silent mode, the messages display on the live feed. So I got to thinking, what if I enabled Broadcaster to run in the background (which can only be done with jailbroken phones) The result is your phone can now have screen recording and opens possibilities for live tutorials, or if you just want to watch the same iTunes movie on your iPhone as your viewers (very choppy), you can do that too. One big setback though is that right now, ustream only offers streaming for what is on half of your iPhones screen so you can only view the top half of your iPhone. I think there will be other developers out there that will catch on to this trick and make apps that can record your entire iPhones screen but I guess we'll have to wait and see! To see an example of screen recording, I have uploaded this video taken from my iPhone. Check it out!
