The Iconfactory's Ramp Champ Is Free For A Limited Time; Frenzic Is Now On Sale
December 2, 2009
The Iconfactory recently updated Ramp Champ with all kinds of new goodies and improvements, which under normal circumstances would be enough to get us reasonably excited, but they have decided to go the distance and completely amaze us by making the game available for free for a limited time. Not only that, but they have also dropped the price of their touch-based matching game, Frenzic.
Ramp Champ features touch and flick gameplay that is simple to learn but difficult enough to keep you coming back for more. To launch your skee-ball, simply flick your finger form the bottom of the screen towards the top. Your finger’s speed and direction will determine how fast and in what direction your ball will go. The game contains four built-in ramps, tons of goals, trophies, in-game prizes, and quite a few downloadable add-on packs.
Ramp Champ v1.1 features Twitter and Facebook integration, a new 3D perspective as the ball is rolling, more accurate collision detection, optimized physics, and greatly improved performance on older devices.
Ramp Champ is normally available in the App Store for $1.99, but it is now available for free for a limited time.
The Iconfactory's other hit game, Frenzic, has been marked down as well. Frenzic is a puzzle-like matching game that is normally available for $2.99, but it is now on sale for $.99. If you are into fast-paced puzzle games, this one is definitely worth $.99.
