The iPhone Is The Most Popular Phone In The US, Giggity?

December 23, 2009

According to researchers over at Nielsen, the "jesus phone", as we like to call it, just became the most popular phone of the American market.

You might remember that Apple's ambitious goal was to capture 1% of the market when they started, so 4% after 2.5 years with a limited distribution is really nothing to be ashamed of.

However it seems like researchers would sell their own mother lately to make some buzz around Apple.

Indeed, as many (haters) pointed out, the numbers presented by Nielsen can be seen as misleading, especially the ranking. You'll notice for example that all 3 iPhone's generations have been grouped under one name, while all LG or Blackberry models are shown separately.

There must be a new research guideline that says Apple goes first, just find a way.

Who would still use a RAZR V3 though?
