Georg Essl from the University of Michigan put together what he proudly calls a "mobile phone ensemble". He managed to drag a couple students into his craze and convinced them not only to each design their own noise app but also to actually feature them all together in a concert this Wednesday. The requirement for the apps is to take advantage of the iPhone accelerometer, the touch screen or even the microphone.
