Talking Carl ($0.99) is a relatively simple app that is a mimicking app with an adorable and fun character. Say anything and Carl will repeat it in a high pitched hilarious voice. You can also interact with Carl by tickling him so he’ll laugh, poking his eyes so he’ll scream, and pinching him to growl.
It's one of the finest designed apps that is a beauty to look at. On top of that Carl is packed with personality in everything he does. A really nice ability is that you don’t need to press anything for Carl to mimic, he just listens and repeats. Also some mimicking apps or items listen for a short period of time, but Carl can listen for much longer.
Overall a well made mimic app, so if you’re looking for one Talking Carl is one of the best choices. Otherwise I don’t know how many times it will be used after the first try. $0.99 is minimal, but there are many other apps at $0.99. One thing to note, if you have an iPod Touch you need headphones with a mic to for Carl to repeat. Goodbye.
Rabbids Go Phone ($0.99) is a little app from Ubisoft using the Rabbids name. A Rabbid is in your iPhone, and now you can interact with it. Try to use all of the iPhone abilities with 18 in total. Tilt the phone, shake it, drag your finger across it, or play your own music, and the Rabbid will do unique and entertaining animations.
Another feature is that you can customize your Rabbid with a moustache, monoicle, and cape or however you choose. Then you can share it, though that Rabbid isn’t used in interaction mode. Also included are videos, wallpapers, and little comic strips. The Rabbid is pretty hilarious with great sounds and animations you know from the video games.
Overall it’s a short gimmicky app that feels more like an advertisement for the Rabbid’s brand than anything else. It costs $0.99, but should be a free app, so no need to pay for this.
