SHAPE Services is having a massive sale on three of their most popular iPhone apps: IM+, Business Card Reader, and RDM+. We haven't seen prices like these from SHAPE since the 2009 holiday season, so take advantage of them while you can. IM+ ($9.99 -> $1.99): A full-featured, push-enabled chat app that features support for multiple services, including Twitter, Skype Chat, Facebook, Google Talk, Yahoo, MSN/Live Messenger, AIM/iChat, ICQ, MySpace and Jabber. It also features Speech Recognition as a $.99 in-app purchase. RDM+ ($19.99 -> $1.99): A remote desktop app that allows you to access your Mac or Windows-based PC from your iPhone or iPod touch. It works seamlessly through NAT and Firewall, and set-up is relatively simple. Just download RDM+ on your iPhone and then download and install the free RDM+ Desktop software (supports Windows and Mac OS X 10.4 and higher) on any and all of the computer’s you want to have access to. After that, you will be given a unique number for each computer to enter into the app and all of your machines will be controllable via your iPhone or iPod touch. Business Card Reader ($5.99 -> $1.99): This app features text recognition technology made by ABBYY that is able to read and enter complete and accurate contact information into your iPhone’s address book. The app is able to recognize English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish business cards. If you are currently in possession of an iPhone 3GS, you won’t need any other attachments, but if you are using an older iPhone, you will need something like Griffin’s Clarifi case to enhance the image. All three apps will be on sale during Macworld and the Mobile World Congress, which should mean through February 18th. SHAPE Services is also having a Valentine's Day contest where you can win an iPod touch. Check out their site for more details.
