IsoWords Gets Updated With Local Multiplayer And Global Leaderboards - Plus A Chance To Win A Copy

When it comes to developing word search games for the iPhone, it's very difficult to come up with a unique enough concept to separate yourself from the rest of the pack, but Opetopic was able to do just that with IsoWords by wrapping letters around a 3x3x3 cube.  Sure, it's a simple twist, but it works.  The game has been relatively successful among word search fans up to this point, but the addition of local multiplayer, global leaderboards, and daily challenges should help push it to another level. Like all other word search games, the concept of IsoWords is to find as many words as possible in the allotted amount of time by tapping or dragging your finger across connected letters.  In IsoWords, however, your playing field is a 3x3x3 cube that changes shape as you create words.  If you use the same letter on a cube three times, the cube the letter was on is removed and the cubes below are revealed.  You can also triple tap on any letter to reveal the cubes below if you are stuck.  The game originally featured pass and play multiplayer, local leaderboards, and the ability to challenge friends, but Opetopic upped the ante on all three of these features in v1.1. IsoWords v1.1 now features local multiplayer via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi with up to three other devices and mutliple modes.  It also now features global leaderboards to compare your scores with friends, daily challenges, and a brand new word list (the official Scrabble SOWPODS).
