New iPhone Codename Found In Latest SDK

February 3, 2010

The latest iPhone SDK hasn't apparently unveiled all its secrets yet. Some curious developers have discovered that inside the SDK we can find hints of the next generation of iPhones.

As you can see above, the SDK has a dedicated folder for every specific model. There is K48 for what we know now as the iPad, N72 and 88 for the iPhone and iPod touch, and now N89 which is probably the next iPhone.

While this doesn't teach us pretty much anything other than Apple's love for Nokia's Codenames, we can be reassured that "it's alive!"
