Our Plushed And Flaboo Reviews Get Updated - Plus A Chance To Win A Copy Of Plushed (Updated)
February 1, 2010
Our game guru Trevor Sheridan has once again taken some time out of his busy schedule of reviewing new games in order to update the reviews of a couple of older games that recently received fixes and new content, hopefully making them worthy of a second look.
The updated reviews include:
Flaboo ($.99): A Doodle Jump-like casual game that features a relatively plump chick that you must guide to all new heights. The gameplay differs from others in this genre by forcing you to reach certain checkpoints before time expires in order to move on, and by collecting keys in order to obtain power-ups. It also features a more engaging jumping mechanic where you must tap the screen to flap your wings when you touch a cloud instead of just automatically jumping. Flaboo was also recently updated with OpenFeint connectivity.
Check out our updated review to see if Flaboo can take the place of Doodle Jump on your iPhone or iPod touch.
Plushed ($1.99): A traditional platformer that features hand drawn graphics, an oddly unique story and music, tons of different enemies including boss battles, colorful environments, mini-games, and now OpenFeint connectivity.
Check out our updated review to see if Plushed is the platformer for you.
Update: Because of the overwhelming response from all of you, Blacksmith Games has decided to contribute three more Plushed codes, making it a grand total of four to give away.
To have a chance at winning one of four codes, simply leave a relevant comment below before 11:59 PM PST tonight (February 1st). Our one winners will be randomly chosen. Good luck!
This giveaway is only open to U.S. iTunes account users.
