Plants Vs. Zombies Hitting The App Store On February 15th

February 8, 2010

We've known about PopCap's intentions to bring Plants vs. Zombies to the iPhone and iPod touch since August 2009, but now we finally have an official release date. Plants vs. Zombies will be hitting the App Store on February 15th, so mark your calendars. Plants vs. Zombies is a unique tower defense game currently available for both Mac and PC. In the game you will be defending your home from waves of zombies by strategically placing plants in their paths, but these aren't your ordinary garden plants. Each plant is capable of doing certain things, such as simply shooting at the zombies, eating them, or blowing them up, requiring you to use the correct combinations in order to defeat the relentless zombies. PopCap hasn't revealed how much Plants vs. Zombies will set you back, but if it helps, Peggle for the iPhone was released for $4.99 and is now available for $2.99. Hopefully we can expect something in that range. Embedded below is a new gameplay trailer for Plants vs. Zombies for the iPhone.
