Unconfirmed: Steve Jobs' iPhone Still Running On 3.1.2 Firmware

February 27, 2010

Funny story, today 9to5mac published an answer that one of their readers received from Steve Jobs after inquiring about the future of Final Cut Pro, and it seems like someone didn't update his iPhone firmware.

Steve has a long tradition of answering some of his emails personally (with the unconfirmed help of Apple's PR department) and Apple rumor sites just love giving these the outmost attention.

While his answer "No worries. FCP is alive and well" doesn't tell us much, his email's headers on the other hand are showing that he's still running iPhone OS 3.1.2.

As you can see his iPhone Mail app is still boasting the "7D11" build and not, like it would be on 3.1.3, "7E18".

I won't go as far as ironizing on Jobs "staying on the jailbreak train," but its funny to see that he isn't running at least the upcoming 3.2 OS or even 4.0, unless this is just camouflage.
